What do you do at My Jewellery?
I’m involved in the planning and control cycle: from the budget to the actuals, and the analysis of the figures. This ensures that management has the correct and complete information needed to make adjustments. I also devote time and attention to managing the team.
What is it like to work in the Finance team?
It’s a really great team. Everyone is there for one another, works hard and, of course, we have a good time together. The positive mindset of all my colleagues and the feeling that we’re all making an important contribution to the (international) growth of this wonderful brand makes working here incredibly interesting!

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
I have been working at My Jewellery as a Business Controller since December 2025. My decision to join My Jewellery was mainly driven by the opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s further development and growth through my role.
What do you do at My Jewellery?
No two days are the same. I work on projects such as workforce planning, focus on results and am constantly looking for ways to improve processes. In doing so, I collaborate closely with departments such as HR, Retail, Sales and My Warehouse. It is precisely this collaboration and my role as a business partner that make my work so enjoyable.
What are you proud of in your work or team?
Together with HR, I set up a new process to gain better control over our workforce planning. That’s an achievement I look back on with great pride.
What makes your job so fun?
I get a lot of satisfaction from contributing, together with colleagues, to the success of My Jewellery. That could be a process improvement, a report that provides greater insight, or supporting better decision-making.
How would you describe the atmosphere within the Finance team?
The atmosphere is very good. We look out for one another, and there’s always room for a healthy dose of humour. Growing together is central to what we do here. For me, that means learning from one another, improving where we can, and working together to build on My Jewellery’s success.

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
I’ve been happily working at My Jewellery since March 2024!
What do you do at My Jewellery?
I deal with goods invoices. This involves liaising with suppliers and various departments within the company. I ensure that payments to various countries are made on time. In addition, every month the team works hard to finalise the figures for the previous month, and I support colleagues with various tasks.
What makes your job so fun?
I love being able to work for such an inspiring and growing company. Sharon’s enthusiasm is infectious and can be felt across all departments. That gives me the energy every day to make it a success.
What is it like to work in the Finance team?
We get on really well as a team. As well as working hard, we have plenty of laughs. It’s a great team to work with; everyone can just be themselves!
Mariska van Steenbergen

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since March 2022.
What do you do at My Jewellery?
My work includes invoicing, accounts receivable management, liaising with customers and sending reminders. I also help out with accounts payable and managing the returns process.
What makes your job so fun?
The colleagues I work with every day, the great working atmosphere and the variety in the work! It’s a large and growing company, but it still feels very personal: everyone here is important. Plus, My Jewellery makes sure there’s always something to celebrate every day!
How would you describe the atmosphere within the Finance team?
We have a really great team with a lovely working atmosphere. Everyone is motivated and always there for one another. There are also plenty of challenges in this department; I learn something new every day!
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
I started as a Product Photographer at My Jewellery and then moved on to the Finance department. In the meantime, I’ve also obtained my bookkeeping qualification.

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
I’ve been working here since October 2019.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
I’m responsible for goods invoices, the foreign subsidiaries and all the associated administration. I also process and pay purchase invoices and handle everything that goes with that. No two days are the same, but together we make sure everything is sorted.
What makes your job so fun?
I’ve seen the company grow enormously during the years I’ve been working here. That’s what makes working here so special. You’re seen, heard, and there are plenty of opportunities for personal development. I’ve experienced that myself.
What is it like to work in the Finance team?
We’re a close-knit team. Everyone’s there for one another, helps each other out and contributes ideas. Together, we do everything we can to get the figures done on time and ensure everything stays on track. That builds a lot of trust. That collaboration makes the work not only successful, but also enjoyable.
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
I started in returns administration. When that process was automated, I made the move to Finance. Here, I undertook a training course with a colleague and developed my skills further. I’ve now been working happily within the Finance Team for years.
