I’ve been working at My Jewellery since September 1, 2016!
What do you do at My Jewellery?
I make sure that all requests, whether they come from customers or the organization, are assigned to the team. I also coordinate with various departments to gather all the necessary information so that the developers can get started quickly.
What makes your job so fun?
We’re often all together in the office, so we can easily find each other when we need one another. The company also organizes a lot of events to celebrate successes or special moments, which is really fun!
What is it like to work in the Front-end Development team?
It’s a blast! We’re a group of highly motivated colleagues who strive for the best results, quality, and efficiency. That’s what we aim for every single day.
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
I started at My Jewellery in 2020 as an SEO Specialist and really enjoyed it. Because we were growing rapidly and had more and more great ideas for the website, we needed a Product Owner to coordinate everything. This role sounded really exciting to me, so I embarked on this new adventure in 2023. We hired more people in-house, creating a team of four Front-end Developers who worked on our website every day. Since November 2024, I have also been the Team Lead of the Front-End team.

What does a typical workday look like for you?
My workday is incredibly varied! One moment I’m building a new feature on the website, and the next I’m brainstorming with colleagues about how to make a solution as user-friendly and stable as possible. I also conduct a lot of tests to gain insight into user behavior and how we can improve the customer experience. Of course, troubleshooting is part of the job too, and there’s always a moment to celebrate when we’ve made the website even better.
What makes your job so fun?
I enjoy building a brand that I’ve been a fan of for years. I also look at the website as a user myself, and it’s really cool to keep improving it. Seeing your own work reflected on the website is really fun. Plus, my colleagues make the work so enjoyable! Everyone is super helpful, and together we create the most amazing things. Besides working hard, there’s always time for a chat so we can get to know each other better on a personal level.
How would you describe the atmosphere within the Front-end Development team?
The team is really great. There’s a real team spirit, and everyone is eager to help each other. I’ve worked with a lot of men in the past, and I really enjoy being around more women now.

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since May 18, 2022.
What do you do at My Jewellery?
I focus on developing A/B tests and web layers, and fixing bugs. If someone on the team gets stuck with some code, we grab a cup of coffee and go through the code together to find a solution. Our code is used thousands of times every day, so a bug can be a problem for a lot of users. That can be pretty nerve-wracking at times, but it also keeps you on your toes. Plus, it makes a lot of people happy when we fix a bug or introduce a new feature.
How would you describe the atmosphere within the Front-end Development team?
There’s a relaxed and positive atmosphere. Everyone is driven and knowledgeable. After the break, we always play a quick game of ping-pong which is always fun.

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
I’ve been working here since November 2025.
What do you do at My Jewellery?
I help build the My Jewellery website. That can involve developing new designs and ideas, as well as technical updates. No two days are the same. One day we’re brainstorming with the team about what’s coming up and how best to tackle it, and the next day I’m fully immersed in the development process.
What makes your job so fun?
The atmosphere and the team give me a lot of energy. That’s really important to me. Plus, the work is very varied, and there’s room to suggest improvements on my own. We’re constantly working together to get the most out of it.
What is it like to work in the Front-end Development team?
Everyone is open, and you feel welcome right away. I started just before the holidays and immediately experienced major events like Golden Weekend and Christmas. But we also celebrate small improvements together. We always stay focused on user-friendliness and technical improvements. Everything we do is aimed at creating the best possible experience for the customer: faster, more accessible, and more beautiful.
What does ‘Let’s grow together’ mean to you?
Thanks to the open atmosphere and collaboration, it immediately feels like you’re part of the team. Everyone is open to ideas, and even as a new team member, you feel directly involved in the growth.

What does a typical workday look like for you?
I work on features and bug fixes for the website. To do this, I regularly collaborate with colleagues from various teams. I really enjoy that, because it allows me to see new aspects of the platform.
What is it like to work in the Front-end Development team?
The team is fun, easygoing, and has people with different areas of expertise, which makes the team strong. I was welcomed very warmly, and everyone made sure I could understand everything by switching to English. I hope I can get them to switch back to Dutch soon!
What does ‘Let’s grow together’ mean to you?
Inspiring people to grow! It’s great to work in an environment that encourages new ideas and proposals and gives colleagues the space to develop them further.
