What do you do at My Jewellery?
I focus on communicating with our customers as personally as possible and turning them into true fans of My Jewellery. I do this by brainstorming new personalization initiatives, analyzing data on our current customers, mapping out customer journeys, and devising ways to encourage customers to shop with us more often. We can reach our target audience in a targeted and personalized way. But we also collaborate a lot with other teams within marketing and e-commerce.
What makes your job so fun?
My colleagues! There’s a great atmosphere in the office; everyone is there for each other and works hard, but there’s also a lot of fun.
How would you describe the atmosphere within the E-mail Marketing team?
It’s truly a party! Everyone on the team has their own specialty and is always ready to help each other. We brainstorm and bounce ideas off each other a lot to make our work, and each other, a little better every day. Everyone is always open to new ideas, and you’re given the freedom to turn your plans into reality.
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
I was hired as a CRM Specialist. After two months, my manager asked if I’d be interested in leading the Email Marketing team. I was already working closely with the team, so this felt like a natural step. I’m still very happy and grateful for this opportunity.
Mariska van Bijsterveld

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since March 2024.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
Every day, I focus on lead generation. Through out-of-the-box lead generation campaigns, I try to grow the database as much as possible. I’m also responsible for the SMS campaigns and am part of the Germany team. Together with colleagues from different teams, we’re working to grow the German market.
What makes your job so fun?
Great colleagues, a nice atmosphere, and a fantastic lunch in the Bistro every day!
What is it like to work in the E-mail Marketing team?
Challenging and varied! My role combines creativity and data, and that’s exactly what makes it so enjoyable for me. Additionally, my work touches on multiple departments, so I not only collaborate with my own team but also interact frequently with other teams. That’s incredibly educational. There’s plenty of room for new ideas, which are often tested and/or implemented. It’s great to be involved in such a process from start to finish and to see the impact it ultimately makes!

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since February 3, 2020.
What do you do at My Jewellery?
My focus is on automated campaigns. Think of birthday emails, transactional emails you receive after placing an order, or welcome emails after signing up. To send everyone an email that’s as personalized as possible, I set up new campaigns and optimise existing ones.
How would you describe the atmosphere within the E-mail Marketing team?
It’s great! Within our team, everyone is an expert in their own specialty, so we learn a lot from each other and complement each other perfectly. Together, we work on great campaigns and see quick results, which gives us the energy to build on that. With such a fun and hardworking team, it’s just a pleasure to tackle challenges together. We have a lot of fun together, and I always go home feeling great!
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
I started as a Customer Care Intern, and soon continued working part-time alongside my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. After my master’s, I joined the Email Marketing team, where I got creative designing newsletters. Now I work as an Email Specialist and focus more on the strategy and data behind our campaigns to get even more out of them.
What are you proud of in your work or team?
I look back with pride on how far we’ve come as a team. We continue to optimise to create even better campaigns.
Emma Buitendijk

How long have you been working at My Jewellery?
Since July 2023.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
Every day, I focus on creating and analyzing the weekly newsletters. I also make sure the emails our subscribers receive are as personalized as possible. Additionally, I help analyze the markets in Belgium and the Netherlands so we can adapt accordingly and optimise our strategy.
How would you describe the atmosphere within the E-mail Marketing team?
We’re a team that loves challenges and hard work. That goes hand in hand with a great atmosphere! We learn a lot from each other, which creates a fun and unique dynamic. It’s inspiring to create content that makes our subscribers happy, while having the freedom to test creative ideas and see how the campaigns really make an impact!
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
When I started at My Jewellery, I focused on designing the newsletters. Now I’m also jointly responsible for the strategic side of email marketing. My focus is now on optimising and devising new and existing strategies, and further personalizing our newsletters.

Since April 2022.
What do you do at My Jewellery?
I create our weekly newsletters, focusing mainly on the design to make sure they look great. I’m also involved in analyzing the French campaigns. It’s a great mix of creative and analytical work, so no two days are the same! It feels great that my input is welcome and appreciated, which makes me feel like I’m really contributing. That room for creativity keeps me working with energy and inspiration every day.
What is it like to work in the E-mail Marketing team?
It’s great! Because we have so much in common, we complement each other perfectly and are completely in sync. We challenge each other a little every day, which fosters growth and motivation. That way, we bring out the best in each other and create something truly special together.
What steps have you taken since you started working here?
I started as a Boutique Employee at the flagship store in Eindhoven. In February 2024, I took on a new challenge as an Email Marketing Intern, and since October 2024, I’ve been proud to call myself a full-time Email Specialist.
