Always on the move
“As Area Manager Germany, I’m responsible for our German Boutiques and support more than 80 colleagues across the country. My day usually starts by looking at the results from the day before and preparing the teams for what’s ahead. After that, my day can go in many different directions. I coach colleagues, support onboarding, check assortments, visit Boutiques or help with a new opening. One moment I’m discussing operations with colleagues, the next I’m thinking along about new products for the Boutiques. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what makes my work so much fun.”
Energy that is contagious
“My biggest motivation is knowing that my energy is contagious. As Area Manager, I don’t just influence results, I influence people. Visiting Boutiques all across Germany gives me so much energy. During those visits, I can combine my personal skills with the daily challenges of the teams. I help colleagues become stronger in their roles, gain more confidence and achieve success. Seeing people take those steps gives me so much satisfaction.”
Proud of every opening
“Since becoming Area Manager, I’ve helped open 10 Boutiques in Germany. That is truly special. Opening a new Boutique is about so much more than opening the doors. It starts with building a strong team. For many openings, I was involved in the recruitment process and helped build the teams from the ground up. During opening week, I focus on onboarding and creating a sparkling atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and confident.”
“What I really love is that we keep the Dutch My Jewellery core alive, while making it fit the German market. That combination makes me proud. And of course, every opening deserves a proper celebration. The celebration already starts during the grand opening itself, but afterwards I love going out for dinner with the team and taking a moment to reflect on everything we have built.”
Trust helps people grow
“When I started at My Jewellery, I finally found my own sparkle. Over the years, I’ve developed myself in leadership, commerce and coaching. One moment that really stayed with me was when I held my first development conversations with Store Managers. Suddenly, I was helping others with their development and realised how much I had grown myself. That felt really special.”

A place that feels like home
“Every Monday, when I’m back at the Headquarters after a week of travelling, it truly feels like coming home to sit and have lunch with colleagues. I’ve also fallen in love with Dutch culture and even started learning the language. That way, I can understand the company, the people and our values even better.”
