Growing through variety
“I started at My Jewellery in 2018 as an Assistant Store Manager in Amsterdam and was promoted to Store Manager a year later. After two years on the shop floor, I got the opportunity to become Retail Support Coordinator for the Netherlands. Every day I was in a different city, while also spending one day a week at HQ. That variety was exactly what I was looking for. Since then, the role has evolved into Area Manager, which is the position I have today. In this role, I support our Boutiques in the middle and north of the Netherlands with their goals, customer experience and overall look and feel.”
Applying internally
“To be honest, applying internally for this role felt quite exciting. You already know the company so well, but you still have to show again why you’re the right fit. Writing a motivation letter felt a bit strange at first, but the process itself was really positive. And I’m so glad I took that step. I truly enjoy supporting and guiding our Boutique teams. The combination of being on the road, working closely with the stores and thinking strategically gives me so much energy.”
Still something to celebrate every day
“What I’ve learned over the years? You can achieve anything if you truly go for it. I was still young when I started here, and it’s amazing to see how much you can grow in such a short time. The atmosphere is still just as good as it was on day one, and I genuinely feel involved in everything happening within the company. That gives me both confidence and joy. Honestly, there’s something to celebrate every single day here. Working with motivated colleagues across the country, building ambitious plans together. And of course doing it all in outfits I absolutely love!
