Growing in style
“My journey at My Jewellery started with a six-month internship in the Branding team. After that, I worked in the Boutique in ’s-Hertogenbosch for over two years. I absolutely loved it, and at the same time it gave me the chance to really get to know My Jewellery inside and out. After graduating, I started working as a Graphic Designer Visual Merchandise. That’s where I truly learned the visual identity of the brand. It became the perfect stepping stone towards the role I now enjoy so much: Design Specialist within the Buying team.”
From idea to item
“I design the artworks for our T-shirts and sweaters and translate inspiration into the My Jewellery style. I also check incoming prints for quality before they go into production. It’s so rewarding to turn creativity into something tangible that someone will eventually wear. That’s definitely a moment worth celebrating for me.”
Doing what makes you happy
“The best thing about working in the Buying team is the creative energy. Everyone inspires each other and there’s plenty of room to share your own ideas. The fact that my potential was seen and that I was able to grow internally feels like such a compliment. Every transition felt natural, mainly because I kept listening to what truly made me happy. I think it’s important to follow your heart and regularly ask yourself what gives you energy. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to turn my passion for design into my job, and I’m still learning something new every day.”
