Taking a leap of faith
“As a Retail Recruiter, I’m responsible for vacancies for leadership positions within our Boutiques in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and future countries where My Jewellery continues to grow. My days are incredibly varied. I work closely with stakeholders, manage recruitment projects and regularly organize hiring days. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what gives me energy.”
“Before joining My Jewellery, I worked as a flight attendant. Recruitment was a completely new world to me. Still, this role felt right from the start. I thought: why not just give it a try? Getting the opportunity without any recruitment experience made it even more special. To me, it shows that My Jewellery looks beyond what’s written on your résumé. Today, I’ve truly made the role my own.”
Growing through trust and freedom
“What I love most about my job is the freedom to contribute ideas and try new things. We’re growing quickly as an organization, which means there’s always something happening. Together with my colleagues, I’m constantly looking at how we can make processes smarter, faster and better. We simply test ideas in practice. Not everything has to be perfect right away. In fact, you learn the most by trying. That freedom to take initiative and develop yourself suits me perfectly. It allows me to keep growing every day, both professionally and personally.”
Seeing potential where others might not
“What I’m most proud of? Being able to help find new colleagues for My Jewellery. I like looking beyond experience on paper. Sometimes, the greatest potential can be found in someone who doesn’t fit the standard profile. I recognize that from my own journey. The best moment is when someone gets an opportunity, finds the perfect place within the organization and truly starts to grow. That’s when you see the impact a great match can have.”
