No two days are the same
“As an IT Support Employee, no two days are the same. I work on IT tickets, onboarding and offboarding colleagues, hardware requests, laptops, phones, and communication with suppliers and external IT partners. I also support the checkout systems for new stores and make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.”
“I also help with audio and video setups for General Meetings, Hero Meetings and Team Demos. Because of that, I work with almost every department within My Jewellery. From Finance to Branding and from HR to the Warehouse. That variety is exactly what makes my job so enjoyable.”
Making a difference through support
“What gives me energy is not only solving problems, but genuinely helping colleagues move forward. I don’t just try to fix something; I also explain why something does or doesn’t work. That way, people understand what’s happening and can often solve similar issues themselves in the future.”
“I’m also given a lot of freedom to think along about solutions. Every day brings different questions, and constantly switching between topics keeps the job challenging. To create more overview, I even developed my own application. Initiatives like that are truly appreciated here.”
Growing through trust
“My journey at My Jewellery started in the Warehouse as an Application Support Employee. Later, I got the opportunity to move to the Head Office. It turned out to be a step that suited me perfectly. In my current role, I’ve gained much more confidence in my abilities, take more ownership, and truly feel at home. I’ve also grown personally. By working closely with colleagues and managers, I’ve learned a lot about leadership and responsibility. I even apply those lessons outside of work. I’ve become more ambitious and I’m constantly looking for new challenges.”
Small successes, big impact
“What am I proud of? The improvements we continue to make. For example, I’m involved in the checkout system process for new stores. During an earlier rollout, there were still some points for improvement, but the most recent implementation went smoothly. Results like that are incredibly rewarding because they show that your work truly makes an impact.”
“What makes me enjoy working here is the trust I’m given. I have a lot of freedom to organise my work in my own way. That motivates me to take extra responsibility and keep pushing myself. And although I often work independently, it’s the small moments with colleagues that make the biggest difference. Helping someone out, receiving a thank-you, or solving a problem together. Those are the moments that make a workday successful for me.”
